Step into a magical universe of light, music and imagination as Wonderverse arrives in Sydney for Vivid Sydney 2026. Taking over the Australian National Maritime Museum’s Lighthouse Gallery from 22 May to 13 June 2026, this interactive family experience invites children and parents on a breathtaking journey through glowing worlds filled with creativity, play and discovery.
Created by acclaimed Australian children’s theatre company Patch Company, Wonderverse makes its highly anticipated New South Wales debut with a multi-sensory adventure specially designed for children aged 4–10 and their families.

An Interactive Journey Through Light and Imagination
Wonderverse is more than a performance — it’s an immersive adventure where children actively shape the experience around them. Guided through a series of interactive environments, families will explore glowing landscapes, musical games and cosmic-inspired spaces where imagination comes alive.
Inside Wonderverse, guests will:

Wonderverse combines the work of leading Australian creative talents to build its immersive worlds.

Together, they create a sensory-rich experience filled with movement, sound and interactive visual storytelling designed to inspire curiosity and joy.
Designed for Families
To ensure every child has room to explore and interact, each Wonderverse session is limited to just 30 participants at a time. Morning, afternoon and evening sessions run throughout the Vivid Sydney festival period, making it easy for families to choose a time that suits their schedule.
The experience has been thoughtfully designed to be welcoming, inclusive and engaging for younger audiences while still offering a visually spectacular experience for adults.

Wonderverse is a high-sensory experience featuring lighting effects and amplified music. Sensory aids are available to borrow from staff at the Lighthouse Gallery.

Babies under 18 months are admitted free without a ticket, although prams cannot enter the performance area.

Guests attending daytime Wonderverse sessions also receive free access to the Australian National Maritime Museum’s core galleries between 10am and 4pm, along with selected family-friendly drop-in activities available during the day.
Families can also enjoy refreshments before or after the show at the nearby Harbour Watch Café, open from 10am to 9pm on performance days.
Getting There
The Australian National Maritime Museum is conveniently located in Darling Harbour, easily accessible by train, light rail, ferry and bus services.
Visitors driving to the venue can access discounted all-day parking at Harbourside Wilson Parking when validating their parking voucher at the museum.
