The musical brainchild of multi-talented Wiradjuri singer, songwriter and producer Zeppelin Hamilton, Gadigal-based psych-rockers Velvet Trip have been electrifying audiences around the country with their winding sonic jams, dreamy vocals and infectious rhythms. Hot off a supporting slot with international star – and certified Velvet fan – DJO, and with a highly anticipated new EP on the horizon, the band makes its Sydney Opera House debut for Vivid LIVE.

Drawing comparisons to the likes of Tame Impala, Temples and Parcels, the band built on the buzz for their 2019 EP Velvet Trip & the Six Moon Skies with a series of singles and their ARIA-charting debut album Harmony Blooms (2024), which was followed by the fan-favourite track “It Don’t Matter”. With their new single “Calling Out Your Name” and forthcoming EP Glimmers, Hamilton and creative partner Clayton Allen continue to push their musical boundaries while showcasing their signature psych-pop sound – a fusion of indie, funk, soul and dance that has earned them a devoted fanbase.

Here’s your chance to see why they’ve quickly become one of the country’s most thrilling live acts – and experience new music from a band whose sonic odyssey is just beginning.
