Join us for Jalbu Muna, a one-of-a-kind night of multigenerational First Nations storytelling through music. It’s time for an uninhibited and uplifting celebration of culture and country, featuring an all-female lineup of First Nations performers.
Deline Briscoe, a Yalanji lady and excellent singer, curates Jalbu Muna, which means ‘confident, fearless woman’, a showcase of strong female voices sharing First Nations culture across borders. Christine Anu, Kee’ahn, Deline Briscoe, and Akala Newman will all perform sets.
This multigenerational, multi-instrumental voyage will take us from Gadigal to Jirrbal Country and deep into the Daintree. A touching and exuberant look at the deep-rooted traditions and bright current expressions of First Nations culture.
