The art of summer is in the air. Join us at The Thirsty Mile on the morning of 3 January as we officially kick off the 2025 Sydney Festival season.

Enjoy an uplifting live performance from the Tongan National Conference Choir in collaboration with Leo Tanoi , responding to artist Telly Tuita’s vibrant takeover of The Thirsty Mile. Plus, a special Welcome to Country by First Nations artist and cultural Advisor Uncle Matthew Doyle and a warm greeting from Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC.

Sydneysiders and visitors will get a taste of the Festival delights awaiting us this January.
