Kim Schaefer, CEO of Museum of Illusions said: “We are honoured to be bringing Museum of Illusions to Sydney. Australians have a longstanding appreciation for immersive experiences and we are confident they will connect with our unique blend of interactive science, spectacle and fun. This expansion marks an exciting milestone for our global brand, and Sydney’s vibrant cultural landscape makes it a natural home for our next museum. We are grateful for the enthusiasm and support we’ve already received and look forward to becoming a meaningful part of Sydney’s dynamic art and entertainment community.”
Beyond being a destination for unforgettable photo moments, Museum of Illusions Sydney offers a unique fusion of entertainment and education, demonstrating the fascinating science behind how we perceive the world. It’s a space where families, friends and creators alike can reconnect with their inner curiosity and rediscover the joy of seeing things differently.
Visitors can expect exclusive, locally inspired installations including:
The Reversed Room, inspired by the classic Australian pub as a communal space where friends and family gather, reflecting the city’s rich social history.
The Building Illusion, drawing on Sydney’s historic commercial architecture and grand atrium spaces, evoking the city’s iconic heritage structures.
Following Eyes, is inspired by all the swimmers and surfers at Bondi Beach and other popular Sydney beaches! The exhibit features a girl with a heavy layer of sunscreen on her face, capturing the playful, sun-soaked spirit of the city’s coastal lifestyle.
The venue will also cater to private events, team-building experiences, educational excursions and content collaborations, providing endless opportunities to capture moments of wonder.
