Lion and Dragon dance are traditional artforms that unite culture, music, and sport. They are a great way to connect with new people and stay fit and healthy, all whilst learning more about Chinese Heritage.

Founded in 1976, the Chinese Youth League Lion and Dragon Dance Australia (CYLLADDA) practices both Southern (Traditional and Freestyle) Lion Dance & Dragon Dance and has been performing in New South Wales for nearly 50 years. The lion dance team won first place in the 2018 MGM International Lion Dance Competition, Females Traditional division, in Macau, the first Western lion dance team ever to win an international Lion Dance Championship.

CYLLADDA runs Lion and Dragon dance lessons on Saturday afternoons and selected weekdays. They offer a 2-week trial period for anyone wanting to get a taste of the art. Email your interest and inquiries to INFO@CYLLADDA.COM or enquire via CYLLADDA.COM. Please email before attending as there may be changes to their training schedule.
