Powerhouse Museum, in collaboration with the Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner, presents *NSW at Night*—a compelling new photography exhibition on display at NSW Parliament House.

Bringing together a diverse group of leading contemporary photographers, the exhibition features newly commissioned works by Andrew Quilty, Tajette O’Halloran, Anthony Rigby-Smith, and Jade D’Amico. Each artist has been tasked with capturing the spirit of New South Wales after dark, documenting the richness and diversity of the state’s night-time economy and cultural life.

Spanning locations from Sydney’s inner city to Western Sydney, as well as regional centres including Wollongong and the Northern Rivers, the exhibition presents a vivid collection of photographic portraits. Together, these works reveal the people, places, and rhythms that define life across NSW once the sun goes down—highlighting everything from late-night commuters and hospitality workers to musicians, performers, and local communities.

A standout component of the exhibition is a powerful series by six-time Walkley Award-winning photojournalist Andrew Quilty, who turns his lens toward Sydney’s train network. His images capture fleeting encounters, quiet reflections, and the subtle human moments that unfold in transit during the late hours. Complementing this perspective, Jade D’Amico’s work immerses viewers in the city’s vibrant music and club scene, offering an intimate glimpse into the energy and creativity that shape Sydney’s nightlife.

*NSW at Night* is both a celebration and a documentation of a 24-hour city in motion—showcasing how culture, connection, and creativity continue to thrive after dark.

The exhibition will be on display from **3–26 March**, open **weekdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm**.
