Step into a world where art, nature, and innovation intertwine in Alchemy of a Rainforest — an extraordinary experience that goes far beyond a traditional exhibition. This is a fully immersive journey that surrounds you with the sights, textures, and sounds of one of the planet’s most precious ecosystems.

From the moment you enter, you’re invited to look up and lose yourself beneath a shimmering, undulating canopy — a breathtaking installation reimagined using recycled materials by ERTH. The space comes alive with movement and light, creating the sensation of walking beneath a living rainforest canopy.

As you move deeper into the exhibition, you’ll feel completely enveloped by nature. Pathways wind through lush greenery, transporting you to the heart of the forest, where every detail has been thoughtfully designed to evoke the richness and diversity of a thriving ecosystem.

Throughout the space, striking garden sculptures by environmental artist Jane Gillings add bursts of colour and texture. Crafted entirely from repurposed plastic waste, these intricate works depict seeds, flowers, branches, fungi, and butterflies — powerful symbols of regeneration and the interconnected web of life that rainforests sustain.

One of the standout features is the oversized Satin Bowerbird’s bower, a remarkable installation constructed from upcycled materials. Step inside, take a seat, and immerse yourself in a sensory experience enhanced by ambient rainforest soundscapes. The gentle hum of nature surrounds you, creating the illusion of being deep within a tropical forest alive with movement and sound.

Curated by the expert horticultural team at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, the exhibition showcases more than 18,000 plants and features one of the largest living green walls in the Southern Hemisphere — a breathtaking display that highlights the beauty and importance of biodiversity.

Alchemy of a Rainforest is a celebration of creativity, sustainability, and the natural world. It’s an experience that invites you to slow down, reflect, and reconnect — offering not only visual wonder, but a deeper appreciation of the ecosystems that sustain life on Earth.

Join this unforgettable journey where art meets nature, and leave inspired by the beauty, resilience, and magic of the rainforest.
