Join calligraphy instructor Xueyi Bai to learn the basics of Chinese brushwork and create your own ‘harmony and prosperity’ character.

In this workshop, calligraphy instructor Xueyi Bai will introduce you to the fundamental principles of Chinese calligraphy. Through step-by-step demonstrations, you’ll learn the correct technique for holding your brush and allowing the ink to flow freely.

Xueyi Bai will teach you the basic strokes and explain how to arrange them into Chinese characters.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll complete the character of ‘harmony and prosperity’ on a piece of mounted rice paper.

These workshops are designed for beginners. All materials are provided.
