Join us at Meeras Pavilion to learn simple embroidery techniques used by many Rohingya women to adorn all kinds of everyday and special household items.

Bring along a piece of clothing, table cloth or pillow case to decorate or collaborate on a large-scale art work with members of the Sydney Rohingya community based on the Taro Leaf — a growing symbol in International Rohingya advocacy.

Capacity is limited. Please arrive early to secure a spot.

This free workshop is co-facilitated by the Australian Rohingya community and members of the Creative Advocacy Partnership artist team.

Events In Sydney acknowledges and respects Aboriginal people as the state’s first people and nations and recognises Aboriginal people as the Traditional Owners and occupants of New South Wales land and water.
