If you want to go for a lengthy ride on your mountain bike, the 10B cycling trail is ideal. It is 15 kilometers long and begins near the Appin Road entry to Dharawal National Park. It then follows an unsealed road through open forest and forests along a sandstone ridge. This is an excellent bicycle trip for small groups and families with older children.
The next three km are more difficult, as the path drops into Stokes Creek Gorge, followed by a climb back up to the park’s northern entrance at Wedderburn.
Pack a lunch and binoculars since there is a large rock platform near the creek crossing where you can take a pause. Birds, like the noisy yellow-tailed black cockatoo, live in the region.
